On-Demand Web Development

Your web development team

On-demand web development is exactly what it sounds like: when you need an update to your site (or a new marketing piece or a new integration), you tell us what you need, and we do it for you.

What’s in a name?

We’ve debated internally for years about what exactly to call this service. “Outsourced” sounds too corporate and implies that we’re working offshore. “Distributed Web Development” sounds good to our ears, but will our non-technical clients have any clue what we mean? “Insourcing”? That’s not even a word.

After much teeth gnashing, we finally settled on “On-Demand” because that’s really what it is: as you create or find web work, you ask us to do it and we do it.

How it Works
Our On-Demand service works very simply. Ask and you shall receive.

1. You have a task.

What kind of tasks, you ask? We’ll do almost anything you want, as long as it’s related to your website. This includes creating landing pages and marketing pieces, assisting with mass emailing, updating your website, curating content, optimizing images, and much more.

2. You submit a request.

You submit a work request by emailing us or accessing our user dashboard. Either method creates a ticket in our ticketing system. For larger requests we want to know a little more so we have phone meetings and set up Trello boards, but for the smaller stuff, all you have to do is ask.

3. We do the work.

Once a request is submitted, it shows up in our ticketing system, where all of our developers can see it. One of us will start work on the project and continue to communicate with you via the ticket.

4. Your task is complete.

Once we’ve completed your work request, we’ll let you know so you can check our work. If you want more changes, you ask and we make them. If you’re satisfied with the work, we close out the ticket and sit at our keyboards eagerly waiting for your next task.

  • I’d never worked with developers that could grasp both the strategy and the technical elements when working with clients, until I met Blueshoon. Whether it’s front-end design to just make something look pretty and intuitive to a user, or more complicated back-end programming to match a strategic vision, they have always been available and eager to help find a solution. They are professional, fun to work with, and always deliver an exceptional product.
